Hi Everyone,
Greetings
from 35,000 feet! I’m on the first leg
of my trip to Singapore for some international leadership meetings. These are always rich and fruitful times, and
I ask for your prayers that this would be the case once again.
Last night,
Darla, Kristen, and I returned from our annual staff retreat. This is our YWAM Orlando family
vacation. As our staff team has grown,
this has become a more and more important event to maintain the deep
relationships of our community.
Prior to
the staff retreat, some of our leadership team and I led us in a process of
seeking God in our annual staff training about how to be a ten-mina servant
(Luke 19:10-27), meaning how can we be ten times more fruitful in every
category. Bruce Wilkerson challenged a
few of our leaders from Orlando with this concept at last year’s University of
the Nations conference. We have been
processing this in our leadership meetings but sensed that it was time to look
at it more intentionally as an entire community. What a challenging passage of scripture! Yet, we look toward the future with great
anticipation of God’s faithfulness as we walk with Him into lives of greater
fruitfulness. Of course, Darla and I
would certainly appreciate your prayers.
Would you start with 30 seconds of asking God to give us His strategies,
wisdom, and strength to lead our community into ten-fold fruitfulness? Specifically, would you ask God to send
“laborers” in the form of many students for the fall schools? It looks to be a record number, but we must
pray until we see the fruitfulness God desires.
