Matthew 28:18-20; Isaiah 63:1-3; and II Timothy 2:2 describe what Michael and Darla believe God has called them to do – make disciples of all nations by the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit.

They sincerely believe God has called everyone in the body of Christ to the task of world evangelization. For their part, God has specifically directed them to work in Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in the areas of training, equipping, and mobilizing missionaries to the most needy nations and cities of the world. Their direct involvement in evangelism has been in leading missionary teams into the fields which are ripe for harvest and preaching the Gospel through many means - street drama, music, puppets, one-on-one sharing, preaching, Bible distribution, etc.

They have worked in YWAM for more than 25 years. During this time they received leadership, missions, and Bible training. They also spent nearly 10 years in Miami, Florida pioneering and leading the training schools. Through this ministry in Miami, YWAM works were established in Panama and Guadalajara, Mexico, and two churches were planted, not to mention the many who were trained and the hundreds that were led to the Lord.

Currently they direct the YWAM Orlando base (center) and Michael functions as the SE USA District Director and the Eastern USA Regional Coordinator for Discipleship Training Schools. In their commitment to fulfill the Great Commission they have specific outreach targets – North Africa, the Middle East, Russia, China, Cities, and Latin America. Their strategy is to train and send teams repeatedly to these targeted locations until a long-term, reproducing work is established.

Their specific responsibilities are to oversee all the schools, outreaches, and ministries of YWAM Orlando. Their deep desire is to train and release leaders into missions. The schools presently offered at YWAM Orlando are: Discipleship Training School, School of Evangelism, and the Basic Leadership School and School of Missions to Muslim Nations.
