Eastern North American Leaders Gathering in Quebec

One of the roles I currently carry is the lead convening elder for Eastern North America. Each year, we invite all the leaders of bases and operating locations from Eastern North America to gather together to seek the Lord. Many of these leaders come because they realize that, to be a part of this global missions movement, it’s critical that we hear from the Lord together and walk in deep relationships as opposed to isolation. Of course, life circumstances make it impossible for everyone to gather every time, but it’s obvious to us that so many are committed to being a part of this movement.

Joshua helps to lead worship at YWAM Orlando!

Each weekday we start by seeking the Lord in the place of worship and prayer at YWAM Orlando. Our daughter Kristen gives oversight to this area, and this quarter we were delighted that Joshua was able to help with worship one day a week.

President's Gathering in Amsterdam

Darla and I were in Amsterdam for YWAM’s President’s Gathering. This is a gathering of the 40 to 45 largest training bases in YWAM. These bases train 70% of the students globally for our mission. It’s a privilege to be a part of this group, and we greatly appreciate the friendships of the leaders. These meetings include important moments of sharing with one another what is working and producing fruit at our locations. We always come away having learned something we can apply in Orlando along with a sense of refreshment from rich friendships.

Fall Schools Graduation

One of the many highlights for us here at YWAM Orlando is to hear fresh stories (like the one above) of transformed lives from the students who have just returned from the field. 

We host a graduation event four times each year and are able to give many of the students’ parents and family members a chance to hear the vision of YWAM Orlando and take a tour of the campus. Then, they get to hear firsthand from the graduate that evening. It makes for a very full but powerful day!

Kristen's outreach to Southeast Asia

Along with her responsibility to give oversight to worship and prayer at YWAM Orlando, Kristen also worked with the fall Discipleship Training School and then co-led one of the outreach teams. They saw 55 salvations and 26 healings. About half the salvations were from one on one conversations. This was just one of seven teams we sent out this winter. God has been so very faithful!
